Skill Sets Training
The current downturn in the economy has affected our state significantly. Michigan’s jobless rate remains high, and our economic recovery is projected to be slow. It is for this reason that The Community House is offering scholarships to qualified Oakland County residents to participate in several business educational programs and classes which we believe will help them to improve their skill sets or learn new ones in order to stay in or re-enter the workforce.
Through these interactive, educational business programs and classes, we will confront employment and workplace issues head on and provide essential skills to help many people at various stages of their careers. TCH will offer scholarships to Oakland County residents who are: 1) working but may be unable to afford these valuable opportunities; 2) unemployed and actively seeking new positions; 3) veterans returning to Michigan who have no jobs; and 4) seniors who want to or have to get back into the workforce and need new skill sets.
